Luffy is strong because he has undergone extensive training in combat and survival since at least the age of seven, and has never faltered in his fervent determination to win. Luffy is not strong Because He is the grandson of Garb. So much so that this is literally a file The operating system. This whole story is based on the will and determination of the individual. It doesn’t matter if you’re a descendant of Ryuma, Garp, Roger, or Oden: that’s not what makes you strong, and it’s not what makes you who you are. Moving on to a topic that people somehow forgot or didn’t notice anyway. He’s so talented that there are arguments about whether the guy planned things out decades in advance, or he masterfully weaves minor, early elements into major plot points.
He’s clearly not infallible and makes mistakes, especially with death, but he also made common tropes more interesting, making parts of a story that would generally be too boring or considered poorly written to be great. If you think this is going to undermine their strength and their achievements, I’m really not sure what story you were reading.įirst, let’s get rid of the fact that Oda has always been a solid author. Anyone currently excited about the fact that Zoro and Sanji have important bloodlines, I don’t think you’ve been paying that much attention.
